One mile away from Dafarn Rhos is the nearest village of Moelfre.

It is situated on the East coast of the Island of Anglesey and on the all Wales Coastal Path.

A small, pretty village with a central beach and several other little shingle beaches and coves around the village.

There are stunning views of Snowdonia and its mountain range across the sea and countryside.

It was once a busy little fishing port. It has a very long maritime history including the tragic Royal Charter disaster in 1859, and then a 100 years later the heroic bravery of the Moelfre lifeboat crew saving all lives abroad the HV Hindlea

Visit the working lifeboat station or the RNLI Seawatch Centre; both open to the public.

Walk or stroll along the Coastal Path and admire the beauty of the coastline, sea and countryside surrounding the village. Take a moment to see the magnificent bronze memorial sculptures of Dick Evans and Royal Charter commemorative statue, as well as the Hindlea and Royal Charter monuments.

There is a pub, hotel, café, restaurant, village store with a post office, a wool shop, gift shop and fish and chip shop/café.

Car parks and toilets (seasonally open) are available.
